Penny Musson will traveling to Chiapas, Mexico in October for a two week medical mission trip through Hebron USA. During a typical two week trip the team provides medical treatment to 1,200-1,500 patients in the medical clinic and provide free medication or medication vouchers.
There is a great need for funding to provide the medications needed. Checks may be made payable and mailed to Hebron USA – 6091 Mountain Brook Road, Greensboro, NC 27455 (memo line – medication fund) or online at www.razoo.com/story/HebronUSA.

The Mission and Outreach Committee invites you to participate in a hurricane relief drive sponsored by he Moose Lodge #1781 of Wilkes. Donated items will be taken to a Salvation Army distribution drop-off site in Texas and Florida.
Please bring the following items to the Fellowship Hall and place on the table next to the Equal Exchange Coffee Project by Sunday, September 24.

Our Mission and Outreach Committee is sponsoring a Red Cross Blood Drive at North Wilkesboro Presbyterian Church on August 8, 2017, from 3:00-7:30 pm. The need for blood is critical and we hope for a large turnout of donors.
Although an appointment is not required, it would be helpful for planning purposes to know how many of our members are planning to participate. Please contact Ellen Lipscomb to make an appointment or to let her know that you plan to be a donor.

In Service to Our Neighbors
The week will be spent serving our neighbors right here in Wilkes County. Mission service projects for the week include: cutting and stacking wood at His Light Ministries, projects at Phases Recovery, tending the Community/Mission Garden, visiting those who are home-bound, and more! Service opportunities are available for all ages and abilities.

Cedar Creek Presbyterian Mission Center

The Cedar Creek Presbyterian Center located provides housing, meals, and service projects to needy families in the Appalachian Mountains of East Tennessee.

Parks Smithey will be participating in the Young Adult Volunteer Program of the Presbyterian Church USA, where he will be serving one year at the Hands and Feet of Asheville Ministry, which is a progressive, Ecumenical Christian service program for young adults to pursue their passions, serve others, build community, and explore faith.
Parks and his family will be hosting fundraiser luncheons after worship on Sundays, April 23 and May 21 to help assist with funding this opportunity which costs $4000.00.
Parks and his family covet your prayers and thank you for your support as he pursues this path upon graduation from Guilford College in May.

Join us from in the Fellowship Hall for Salem Presbytery’s Youth Mission Project! We will be packing hygiene kits for Presbyterian Disaster Assistance.
There will be lots of fun games and activities to get to know new friends and neighbors through Salem Presbytery as well as reacquaint with old friends and neighbors.
